Dance Styles/Classes


Disco Freestyle

An energetic dance style which includes runs, kicks, jumps plus more as well as different arm and hand movements. This dance style is usually kept up to date with current music trends

Rock 'n' Roll 

A form of dance that originated from lindy hop and consists of partner work. It's energetic, upbeat and includes complex steps and lifts


Street dance is an umbrella term which encompasses a range of dance styles characterised by descriptions such as hip hop, funk and breakdancing. This style offers energetic movements. We bring Street into classes for our Juniors, Inters & Seniors classes


This style is bought into Inters & Seniors classes. It consists of routines to slow music, filling out the music with extension arm lines, turns, rises, holds and floor work

Teddy Bear Dance

This is a class for our Tots to learn the basics of dance in a fun environment, using a variety of props to help create movements and dancing along to action songs

Comp Squad

This is a class for any dancers who already attend a Thursday or Saturday class who wish to expand their experience and skills within dancing. We work on routines that will be used for any performance opportunities and competition work. Dancers need to be committed to attending competitions and performances 

Core & Flex 

We focus on the Alixa Flexibility programme following their stretches and strengthening exercises to help improve flexibility and core strength. Our Core & Flex class is suitable for Juniors, Inters & Seniors


Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Our Contemporary class is suitable for dancers age 7+

Age Groups



18 months - 3 years old



3 years old - 5 years old


6 years old - 9 years old



10 years old - 13 years old


14 years old - 18 years old

These ages are just a guideline and it's down to the discretion of the dance teacher as to whether the child is ready to move up based on ability, maturity and need
